February 10th, 2011
Welcome to the seventh and last freely accessible StudentLink update
patch file. After the 10th of February, the monthly
update will be available exclusively to StudentLink licensees and those
district representatives requesting an evaluation period extension.
Please note, although your evaluation copy of StudentLink will continue
to function, without updates, the number of dead links will increase
substantially as the web changes over time. For information regarding
licensing StudentLink call us at 905-576-3961 or e-mail our director
directly at
jfinan@studentlink.org.
Our Monthly Feature
looks at
Bees and the phenomenon of Colony Collapse Disorder. Fascinating
stuff.
Again, every link has been reviewed manually by the StudentLink team.
All dead and intermittent links have been removed and
replaced.
Thanks very much for your interest in our product and service.
January 10th, 2011.
Happy New Year and welcome to the sixth update for StudentLink:
Maritimes Edition for the 2010/2011 school year. Again the StudentLink
team has manually scanned and tested all SL pages removing and replacing all dead
and intermittent links. We found the matrix to be in relatively good
condition with only
thirty eight new links needed. Our monthly feature
looks at Money Smarts. Enjoy!
A special note to those evaluating StudentLink. To improve our product
and service we need to hear from you ! Call (905-576-3961) or e-mail (jfinan@studentlink.org)
and let us know what you think.
December 10th 2010.
Sixty-one dead and intermittent links have
been corrected or replaced. The TeacherLink subset has been reviewed and
updated. This month's Feature looks at
Career
Exploration. Our team has again organized the links by division. Our
thanks to all consultants who continue to review and evaluate
StudentLink. We look forward to your feedback. We wish you and yours a
safe and restful holiday!
November 10th, 2010.
Again all dead and intermittent links have
been corrected, redirected, or removed completely.
Thirty-nine new links have been added across
all grades. Hats off to the StudentLink teachers who manually scan each
link and search the web for grade and curriculum - appropriate, engaging
content.
Our monthly feature looks at
Plate
Tectonics. Forty-two links were located, audited, approved, and
organized by division. Please remind teachers that our past Monthly
Features are always available by clicking on "Monthly Feature Archive"
at the bottom of the Monthly Feature page. |

We have completed the first update for StudentLink: Maritimes Edition.
Each page in the StudentLink matrix was manually scanned and all links
checked. Twenty-one dead or intermittent links were redirected,
corrected, or completely replaced. We enthusiastically welcome all link
suggestions. E-mail us
here.
The update patch is available to all evaluators. Hereafter, the
Maritimes edition will be updated on the 10th of each month excepting
July and August.
August 18th, 2010.
After twelve months of planning and preparation, the StudentLink team is
delighted to present the first working copy of StudentLink Canada:
Maritimes Edition to selected technology and curriculum consultants in
Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and
